 Jan Dugan: Counseling Psychologist

Jan is a psychologist with over 40 years experience dealing with people of all ages – children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. In all her work she has a practical focus in finding ways in which people can live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life. She has recently devised a short course to assist people with sleep problems. She has conducted parenting courses over many years and has a special interest in helping people to enhance their relationships.

 Mark Cary: Counseling Psychologist

Mark works as an adult, child and family counsellor providing help for people  of all ages  to overcome a range of problems, including anxiety, depression, anger and trauma, so they can realise a better quality of life and be the best they can be. Mark has over twenty years  experience  as a counsellor and  psychologist working in social and community organisations such  as services for disability, child protection , foster-care and adolescent mental health . Mark special interest is men’s mental health and relationship  programs. As a Director of the Total Health and Education Foundation he is responsible for overseeing the Centre for Healthy Living.

 Jan Gudkovs Program Director/ Counseling Psychologist

Jan has a deep interest in helping to relieve people’s suffering and to promote their emotional growth and sense of peace and well-being. She has worked with individuals and families to improve a range of conditions including anxiety, stress, depression, PTSD and relationship problems and to help individuals with their personal growth.She also has an interest in psychosomatic problems and chronic disease. She provides assistance to corporate clients through Employee Assistance Programs and Critical Incident services.She has undertaken training in Family Therapy and Clinical Hypnosis. Recent trainings in Mindfulness-based therapies have built on her own personal practice of Yoga for over forty years. As a Director of the Total Health and Education Foundation she is responsible for the health and stress programs conducted by the Foundation.

BA (Double Honours) Applied Psychology 1974, University College Cork, National University of Ireland

Noel has worked in a wide range of human service systems for over 40 years and provides individual counselling relating to adjustment to changed life circumstances.

Alana Deehan

 Alana Deehan: Speech Pathologist

Alana has over 15 years experience as a speech pathologist and has worked for organization such as Queensland Health, Education Queensland and Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland. Most recently she has been working privately in Brisbane both within a clinic and within Independent Schools. Alana believes that communication is an essential part of maintaining and generating relationships and is the basis of participating within the wider community. She offers a service that specializes in working with children with speech, language and literacy development. This includes both before school aged and school aged children including adolescents. Alana also offers services to children and young adults with severe communication difficulties as a result of disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome and Asperger’s Spectrum Disorder.

 Lenore Neville: Child and Family Counsellor

Lenore has degrees in Psychology and Social Work and is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years of continuing professional development and experience in counselling. She has worked with young people and families in university and school counselling, hospital, psychiatric and community settings, most recently at headspace Warwick where she has been for the past 7 years.

 Nina Gudkovs: Medical Herbalist

After working as Senior Music Therapist at Multicap in Brisbane, Nina has undertaken training in Western Herbal Medicine. She has a deep interest in helping people with illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, weight problems and mental health conditions that affect so many people today. She has found that Western Herbal Medicine offers an alternative that supports the body’s natural health-maintaining systems.

 Elia Faa: Dietician

Elia is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian from Queensland who's professional career has taken her to places as diverse as Tasmania, the Torres Strait and Papua New Guinea. She has been living with her husband and four children in Warwick since 2005 where she has a small Private Practice and does voluntary work in the community. Her main professional interest is the prevention and management of chronic diseases and encouraging children to eat well. She has a passion for translating the science of nutrition and dietetics into an easy, positive and practical framework for her clients to achieve best possible health.
